Nearing the end...

or so I hope.

This classroom is wearing me out!
I joke with Chris that I took the job to have another room to decorate and then the students are gonna get there and I'll be like "Wahhhh? Don't touch anything!"
JK, I kid, I kid.

I am actually so excited to finally meet all of them in just 2 WEEKS!!!
Can't wait for the ice cream social and the faces of intrigue as my students step into my classroom! (Ice cream social... I mean how cute is THAT?!)

Facts I know about my school so far:
1. The maintenance man think I'm crazy for being up there so often.
(They already know my name...)
2. Apparently all the female teachers wear heels everyday by choice.
(Ummm... yeah.... NO.)
3. I am the only brand new teacher at my school.
(Yikes!)
4. I am getting the feeling that all the teachers call each other by last names.
(Like not just in front of the kids, but all the time. Strange.)
5. My principal is awesome and so is all the staff I've met so far!

Thank you Kim (aka: my laminator cutter-outer) for helping me in my room and I am so pumped that it is starting to look like a real classroom!

Mushaboom

Unpacking the bags and setting up
And planting lilacs and buttercups oh

But in the meantime we've got it hard
Second floor living without a yard
It may be years until the day
My dreams will match up with my pay

Old dirt road,
knee deep snow
Watching the fire as we grow
o-o-o-o-old

I got a man to stick it out
And make a home from a rented house oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh
And we'll collect the moments one by one
I guess that's how the future's done oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh

How many acres, how much light
Tucked in the woods and out of sight
Talk to the neighbours and tip my cap
On a little road barely on the map

Old dirt road,
knee deep snow
Watching the fire as we grow,
o-o-o-o-old

Old dirt road rambling rose
Watching the fire as we grow

Well, I'm Sold...
